Listen: Christmas tips for our furry friends

As we deck the halls and trim the tree, it’s important to remember that the festive season can present unique hazards for our furry friends. Cats and dogs are drawn to the glitter and aroma of Christmas, and while their curiosity is endearing, it can sometimes lead to dangerous situations.

In fact, calls to Blue Cross about Christmas injuries have increased year on year. They received 8,938 calls in 2023, increasing to 10,467 calls in 2024, with the calls immediately following or relating to the Christmas period. They expect just as many calls this year, if not more!

But how can we keep our pets safe?
