As a small business, it’s often hard to stand out and attract customers, which has been exacerbated by the last 18 months of the pandemic.

Holidays and key calendar moments like Christmas and Black Friday pose an exciting opportunity for brands to engage with consumers in a meaningful way, however small businesses not only need to spark consumer interest but keep them there – avoiding the five-minute ‘browse and bow’.

Despite 63% saying they would rather shop small to help their local economy, and 41% willing to pay more to do so, many small businesses must get creative, according to retail psychologist, Kate Nightingale.
