Listen: how is your mental health?

As the world continues to progress on a return to normality following the pandemic, there are stark warnings about the impact of Covid-19 on people’s wellbeing.

A third of people (34%) admit to their mental health getting worse over the past twelve months, with one in nine of us (11%) going as far to say that their mental health has got significantly worse over that period.

Despite the concerns over both mental and physical health, 42% admit that they haven’t spent any time dedicated to improving their mental wellbeing and 18% acknowledge that they haven’t done any exercise during the past year.

The research uncovered by Nuffield Health’s Healthier Nation Index is being launched alongside the ‘Find Time For Your Mind’ campaign, aimed at getting Brits more active and engaged with their mental health. The #find5 campaign encourages people to spend just five extra minutes a day exercising and focusing on their mental and physical wellbeing.

Aston spoke to Gosia Bowling, emotional wellbeing lead at Nuffield Health.
