Listen: London Marathon tips and advice

This weekend 50,000 runners will take to the streets of the capital in pursuit of ticking off an achievement that sits at the top of many people’s bucket list, completing the 26.2 miles that make up a marathon.

It’s a goal that seems far from achievable for many of us sitting on the sofa watching the almost fifty thousand people sprint by the London landmarks. But avid long-distance runner and TV Doctor, Emeka Okorocha is on a mission to motivate the nation and prove anyone can complete a challenge like the marathon, as long as they put their heart into it.

With Heart health a vital indicator for people gearing up to tackle a challenge the magnitude of a marathon, new research by heart health supplement, Olive Life highlights how half of UK adults (50%) are concerned that their blood pressure is too high, or that their heart isn’t strong enough.

Aston spoke to Dr Emeka Okorocha.
