So, what’s more important: how long you sleep for, or the quality of your sleep?
Well, new research from Liverpool John Moores University has delivered a verdict! When it comes to living a healthy life and building up our immune system, it’s the quality of sleep that triumphs over how long we sleep.
The study found that people who do not get quality sleep suffer up to three times more with colds, flu, and other illnesses, alongside showing that a good quality sleep can effectively make up for sleeping less than the recommended amount when it comes to protecting against bugs and other medical conditions.
