Listen: Stand up to seizures this Purple Day
Despite being one of the most common neurological conditions, affecting 1 in 100 people in the UK, epilepsy is an invisible disability that is poorly understood.
Anyone can develop the condition at any age but symptoms vary greatly and affects everyone differently.
For Purple Day, 26 March, Epilepsy Society is asking everyone to ‘stand up to seizures’ and to learn more about how to support people both in their everyday lives but also to learn lifesaving first aid.
Aston spoke to Cat Finlayson from Epilepsy Society.
