Listen: summer food sensation cooking tips from chef Juliet Sear

With the summer holidays in full swing and children enjoying their break from school, there’s never a better time to try something different for the family.

In fact, mushrooms are set to be this summer’s “super food” and might be the answer to our depleted summer energy levels.

That’s according to TV presenter and Chef Juliet Sear who is a massive mushroom advocate and wants to teach the nation not just about the many B vitamin boosting nutritional benefits, but also how to cook them to make sure your summer is a sensation with standout recipes.

It comes as new research from The Mushroom Bureau shows that 38% of us regularly find ourselves lacking energy throughout the day due to heat or lack of nutrition. To add to this, 36% of us are unsure of what benefits mushrooms have, even though a staggering 65% of us feel confident cooking them and 18% only associating them with the winter.

Aston spoke to TV chef Juliet Sear and Jude Wilson, chief mushroom scientist at The Mushroom Bureau.
