Listen: the future is electric

According to the Department for Transport, there are currently more than half a million ultra-low-emission vehicles on the roads, with Ofgem saying that a further 6.5 million households plan to buy an electric or hybrid vehicle.

New research released today by Direct Line group has shown that 7 out of 10 Brits strongly believe all cars will turn electric soon, with over half of Brits (54%) saying that their next purchase of a car will be electric. Not surprisingly after recent circumstances, 22% also worry about future fuel shortages.

Today sees the launch of the world’s first electric-powered model village, transforming Bondville Model Village in Bridlington into an electric mini utopia.
