Listen: the health habit still being left on the sideline
From step counts and protein intake to sleep tracking and recovery, fitness and wellbeing routines are becoming increasingly popular, yet oral health doesn’t often feature.
In fact, despite this growing interest, new research reveals that 29% of us don’t know what poor oral health can result in, 30% agree they could look after their teeth better and 23% admit to not having not been to the dentist in over a year.
Positively, the data from Bupa Dental Care also shows more than seven in ten say that if oral hygiene affects health and physical performance, it deserves a bigger spotlight within the fitness and health world, while 41% agree they’d be more likely to learn about oral health if athletes or fitness influencers talked about it more.
