Listen: trials and tribulations of modern parenting
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but these days the village can feel more like a jury than a community coming together. You’d think that once the baby arrives, parents could focus on what matters most — but for many, that’s when the real scrutiny begins.
A new study from MAM Baby UK, as part of its “As They Grow, So Do You” campaign, reveals that almost two in three (63%) parents say they often or always feel pressure to be a “perfect parent.”
Though the research shows that while social and cultural pressures play a part, the greatest pressure often comes from within, with 54% of parents admitting their own expectations are hardest to live up to.
