Local author publishes guide for autistic teenagers

Local author Erin Ekins has written a book called The Queerly Autistic Workbook.

This is a hands-on workbook for LGBTQ+ (and questioning) autistic teenagers, with activities, projects, quizzes and other fun things to do to guide them through understanding gender and sexuality, figuring out their own identity, coming out, finding spaces in the LGBTQ+ community, navigating relationships (including information on consent, sex, and abuse) and dealing with bullying and bigotry.

It’s a companion to their first book, Queerly Autistic: The Ultimate Guide for LGBTQ+ Teens On The Spectrum, which came out in 2021 and was longlisted for the Polari Children’s Book Prize.
