Love Essex comes to Billericay

Love-Essex is the vision of a team of Christians who love Jesus and love their County. The project aims to stage a series of major community festivals in stadia and open spaces at locations throughout Essex. Love-Essex has two main goals: Firstly, to present the people of Essex with the truth of Jesus and the Christian faith and, secondly, to transform the often negative reputation by which our County is known.

They are excited to announce the first Love-Essex event which will take place at Sun Corner, Billericay on
Saturday 9th July from 2pm to 7.30pm. Although we’d love visitors for the afternoon, there’s no obligation to commit to the whole festival. Guests can stay as long or short as they feel. And here’s the best bit: it’s absolutely free! Limited parking is available but we would ask particularly locals to consider walking or cycling to the event.

Love-Essex will feature a wide range of exciting activities for all tastes designed to help visitors discover who Jesus Christ really is. Heading the programme will be dynamic guest speaker Andrew Cannon who has an exciting, life-changing story to tell. Live music will be provided by Romford-based singer Helen Yousaf and the Transforming Essex Band, plus a host of creative arts covering dance, drama, mime and rap. Away from the stage, visitors will find a wide range of activities including Live Art and a reflective Quiet Zone. A selection of food and drink outlets will also be available.
