Love Island’s Sophie Piper on travel experiences

Travellers worldwide are forgoing the usual routine of laying by the beach all day or queueing up for their breakfast.

When it comes to transformative travel experiences, a new study from has found the majority (45%) of the nation is looking to taste and learn about different food and drink as well as improve their general knowledge (42%) and support local communities/the environment (20%).

According to the data from MSC Cruises, 2 in 5 (40%) millennials find travelling an opportunity to take care of their mind, body and soul. Becoming more cultured (33%) is also important to those aged 25-34, as well as stepping out of their comfort zone (25%). Discovering new interests and hobbies (24%) and making new friends (23%) also ranked highly.
