29th July 2020
Posted by Gateway 97.8

On Monday 27th July 2020, I presented a motorsports update here on Gateway 97.8. On this week’s F1 Report:

F1 have confirmed another 3 venues for the 2020 season. Below are the three new venues that F1 will be heading to in 2020.

  • Nurburgring (Germany) (9-11 October)
  • Portimao (Portugal) (23rd-25th October)
  • Imola (Italy) (31st-1st November)

The Portuguese GP will have a race for the first time since 1996, Imola will host the Emilia Romagna GP and the Nurburgring will play host the Eifel GP.

In some other news: Red Bull’s Alex Albon will have a new race engineer for the British GP onwards. Mike Lugg will step down from the current role whilst Simon Rennie will be taking over the reigns as Alex Albon’s race engineer. Rennie is no stranger to the grid having previously worked with Daniel Ricciardo whilst he was at Red Bull between 2014-18. He left the team in 2019 as the Aussie departed for Renault.

The Motorsport Update will be back next week on Daytime so tune in from 10am to catch up with all the latest news from F1 and the BTCC on Daytime with Aston Avery on Gateway 97.8.
