They say a mother’s work is never done and now a new study has put a spotlight on just how much mums take on daily, revealing both the immense dedication they show and the deep fulfilment they find in motherhood.

Research shows that nearly two-thirds of mums believe parenting is by far the most demanding job in the world, far tougher than their nine to five. Despite this, an overwhelming eight in ten (82%) would not swap being a parent for the world.

Data from, small-business champions, Not On The High Street highlights the workloads mums undertake yearly, showing that they prepare an astonishing 780 meals, do an incredible 728 loads of washing and ironing each year, help with 468 lots of homework and ferry the kids to playdates and extracurricular activities a staggering 520 times.
