National Bingo Week 2025

Generation gaps are hardly new, and it can seem that the gulf between young and old has never been wider – pitting boomers against millennials and Gen Zs. But could one classic game be the key to bridging the divide?

To celebrate National Bingo Week (23–29 June), new findings from The Bingo Association reveals a growing disconnect between generations with over a third of Brits (37%) finding it tough to really connect with people from other generations – even though deep down they want to.

Nearly a quarter (23%) of Gen Zs say they rarely socialise with older relatives outside of family events and when they do spend time together over half (53%) admit those visits are more out of duty than choice.

Aston spoke to reigning caller of the year Issy-Mae Hunt and Miles Baron, chief executive of The Bingo Association.
