National Careers Week

National Careers Week is here, and it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the power of learning and how it can propel you towards a brighter future. This year’s celebration is particularly important, as 55% of Brits say they are unhappy in their current role and 47% feel they are underpaid.

The UK is currently facing significant skill shortages in several key sectors. At the end of 2024, healthcare reported 144,000 job vacancies, administrative support had 58,000 openings, and finance recorded 36,000 unfilled roles. These are all industries where employees can earn healthy salaries and complete fulfilling work.

But what if you feel underqualified? Well, in the post-pandemic age, with technology only advancing further, learning a new skill has never been easier. In fact, 85% of people say online learning is better than or as good as in-person. National Careers Week is a powerful reminder that continuous learning isn’t limited by age, experience, or previous education. It’s a gateway for anyone to step into new horizons and achieve career success.
