National Get Outside Day

Ordnance Survey’s annual event Get Outside Day is back to remind the nation how the simple enjoyment of the outdoors is a huge boost to mental and physical health.

The theme this year is Be kind: to the environment, to others and to ourselves.

OS is encouraging everyone to save the date on Sunday September 26th and get outdoors for National Get Outside Day.

To mark the event OS has investigated how increasing footfall in the countryside has impacted on the environment.

Aston spoke to explorer Sean Conway and Liz Beverley, get outside manager for Ordnance Survey.
