National Lottery funded venues come together to say thank you

Everybody is trying to find that new surprise for their loved ones, whatever the occasion. With 64% of UK adults wanting to go somewhere they’ve never been before, but only two in five of us having enough creative ideas, some of us need a helping hand when it comes to discovering a new adventure.

Fear no longer. The National Lottery Open Week, taking place in the first week of Spring (18-26 March) in which National Lottery funded venues come together to say #ThanksToYou for the £30 million raised for Good Causes every week, is a chance to connect with those you love on low cost days out. The event looks to inspire hope and love after what has been a tough winter for so many of us.

Some of the UK’s most beloved days out are taking part in National Lottery Open Week, including The Eden Project in Cornwall – home to the world’s largest indoor rainforest, as well Chester Zoo, The Kelpies, Caernarfon Castle and The Roman Baths and Pump room.

Aston spoke to Hilary McGrady, director of The National Trust.
