New NHS mental health campaign

UK music icons including Craig David, Nicola Roberts, Tom Grennan, Laura Mvula, Ella Henderson and Max George have come together to star in a powerful new mental health film inspired by The Beatles track ‘Help!’, released today by NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Featuring music and lyrics to ‘Help!’, penned by John Lennon about his own experiences of mental health, the film has been released as part of a new mental health campaign which highlights that feelings of anxiety and depression can affect us all – and the NHS is here to help.

The campaign is launched at a time when mental health is more pertinent than ever, as a new UK survey has today revealed that over half of the population (54%) were concerned about their mental health last year – with half of the population having experienced stress (51%) and anxiety (50%) in 2021. The majority of those (nearly 60%) did not reach out for professional help.
