Ortis Deley on roaming charges

The summer holidays are in full swing and Europe is as popular as ever, with a third of Brits planning a getaway this year. A much-needed break for many, with 65% of those say they’re going on holiday to relax, to switch of from their normal life (56%), and to spend quality time with loved ones (51%).

90% of Brits say their phone is just as important as sun cream when they’re heading off for some summer sun and gone are the days where we only use it for communicating with loved ones back home.

In fact, Brits rely on their mobiles to get the most out of their holiday. With a third saying they use it to research the nearby attractions (34%), 33% say they find their way around by using their phone and a quarter even use it to truly experience the destination like a local by finding the best local bars and restaurants. Meaning under 45s will use their phones for an average 8 hours a day when away.

Aston spoke to TV presenter from The Gadget Show Ortis Deley.
