Our daily dose of positivity is just one click away

From local to international news, we of course need to keep in touch with what’s happening in the world around us, but excessive scrolling can take its toll!  Sometimes we just need to hear some good news, chat to a friend, watch a funny TikTok or anything to make us smile and feel positive…

It’s no secret that we turn to our phones several times a day and luckily, we can get our positivity boost on the go and at the click (or press) of a button!

n fact, for that all important mood boost, Brits spend on average two hours each day seeking out positive content, with 31% of us turning to social media; Facebook 48%, Instagram 40%, YouTube 35%, TikTok 31% and Snapchat 19%. The gen-Z age group are more likely to head to TikTok as their go-to (42%), compared to those over 55 who tend to still use Facebook (70%) according to research from Sky Mobile.

To gear up for a summer of fun, the findings have prompted Sky Mobile to team up with Vanessa King, an expert on positive psychology, and board member at Action for Happiness, to explore Brits’ habits online and how they can use their phones to easily access positive and uplifting content 24/7.
