Pet or your partner this Bank Holiday weekend?

We are a nation of dog lovers and ahead of National Dog Day (26^th Aug) new research has uncovered the extent of our love for our four-legged friends.

With the August Bank Holiday approaching, almost one third (31%) of people would rather spend time with their pet over their partner this Bank Holiday, and 58% of pet owners worry about their pet’s health above all else, confirming that the close bond between humans and pets is stronger than ever.

Given that 3 out of 10 dogs in UK today were pandemic puppies, new research headed by Zoetis UK with British veterinary surgeon and TV personality, Rory the Vet, has uncovered the five key ‘paw-sonalities’ making up ‘Generation Pet’ – the wave of Gen-Z, Millennials and young families who got their first pet in the pandemic.

Aston spoke to TV vet Rory The Vet and Dr Edwina Gildea from Zoetis UK.
