Popular drinks for St Patrick’s Day

Last weekend saw temperatures across the UK soar to highs of 20 degrees and hotter in some parts than Ibiza. It led to many of us flocking to beer gardens to enjoy the sunniest weekend of 2025 so far and this weekend the feel-good vibes are set to continue with St Patrick’s Day weekend seeing us celebrate – whether we are Irish or not!

But it’s clear stout isn’t just for the 17^th March or indeed the weekend leading up to it! In fact, the beverage has made a massive comeback among young drinkers with strong value and volume growth in the total market of +23.7% and 18% respectively. And in particular, Murphy’s stout sales increased by 632% across the UK in December with 2024 seeing a significant rise, with a 176% boost in draught sales overall.
