Research shows why Brits don’t club anymore

VICE have teamed up with Monkey Shoulder on a nationwide nightlife investigation, ‘The Night Shift’, an in depth, investigative report that asked over 4000 people what is wrong with the nightlife scene right now.

It comes as reports show one in five nightclubs have shut since Covid. So, what’s going on?

Well, from long queues, dodgy bouncers, bad playlists and strict dress codes, the results found an interesting mix of what needs to change when it comes to a night out.

There is however an overall cry for simplicity, speed and less pretentious fuss, with people suggesting ‘rapid service counters’ for people who just want one or two drinks without faffing.
