Star of The Chase Shaun Wallace on further education

1 in 4 Generation X workers are considering a career change, seeking greater fulfillment in their professional lives. The latest research, conducted for the Department for Education’s Teach in Further Education campaign, reveals that 46% of Gen X workers want more satisfaction in their careers.

A third (30%) seek to give back to their communities, positioning them well for roles in teaching.

While 32% fear they lack the necessary skills, many do not realize that their industry experience makes them ideal candidates for further education, where prior teaching qualifications are not always needed, and training can often be completed on the job.
