Strictly Come Dancing celebrates the musicals

Following the elimination of Eastenders actor Jamie Borthwick, the remaining 6 couples took to the dancefloor to impress the judges and the public. The soundtracks they were dancing to were songs that are in musicals which range from Sunset Boulevard to Wicked or West Side Story to Six.

Topping the judges leaderboard with a score of 39/40 for their Mary Poppins inspired Vienesse Waltz was JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Lauren Oakley.

For the fourth time this year Gladiator Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe found themselves in the dance off and they were joined by Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and her dance parter Aljaz Skorjanec. The judges unaminously voted the save Tasha meaning that Montell is now out of Strictly Come Dancing.

The remaining 5 couples will perform not 1 but 2 dances this weekend when Strictly Come Dancing returns for the semi-final.
