Strictly Come Dancing goes to the movies!

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 held it’s Movie Week theme this past weekend. It also saw Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo become guest mentor for the week.

Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell were not able to perform their routine this past weekend as Stefan was unwell. So 13 couples took to the dancefloor to impress the judges. Impressing the judges with their Mask of Zorro inspired Paso Doble was former Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his professional dance partner Katya Jones scoring the 37/40 whilst earning the first ’10’s’ on the series.

This past weekend saw Shirley Ballas given the power of the casting vote in an event of a tie for the dance off. The dance off this time round saw entertainment reporter Ross King and his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal and Eastenders actress Balvinder Sopal and her dance partner Julian Caillon. The judges unaminously voted to save Balvinder meaning Ross became the second celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Strictly Come Dancing will return this weekend.
