Strictly goes to Blackpool

Following the elimination of newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy the remaining 7 couples took to the dancefloor at the famous Blackpool Tower in Blackpool to impress the judges and pubilc.

Topping the judges leaderboard this week were West End performer and Bad Education actor Layton Williams and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin and former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach and her dance partner Vito Coppola both scoring 39 out of 40 for their couple’s choice and charleston respectively.

For the third week running legendary broadcaster Angela Rippon and her dance partner Kai Widdrington found themselves in the dance off and they were joined by Eastenders actor Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell. The judges unaminously voted to save Bobby meaning Angela’s time on Strictly is over.

The remaining 6 couples will return to the dancefloor this weekend.
