The UK Sepsis Trust 10th Anniversary

Sepsis can happen to anyone, and in any environment. Whilst deaths from this condition are entirely preventable if treated quickly, the disease claims the lives of five people every hour in the UK. Which is why we all need to be sepsis aware and able to the spot the signs of this life-threatening condition.

The UK Sepsis Trust is putting a face and voice behind the hundreds of thousands of people who are affected by sepsis in the UK each year. Bringing the illness to life through a live stream of 100 individual stories told by one person, actor & TV presenter Warwick Davis.

To coincide with the UK Sepsis Trust’s 10th anniversary year, the content will be launched on a joint live stream from UK Sepsis Trust and Green Flag Instagram accounts’ as well as being screened throughout independent cinemas across the country. The short film has been curated through compiling real-life stories of people and families affected by sepsis.

Aston spoke to Terence Canning, head of communications at UK Sepsis Trust.
