The unsung heroes who make Christmas possible

Christmas is a time for family, festivities and tradition – but behind the scenes, thousands of people work tirelessly to make it all happen. From NHS staff and emergency services to carers and grocery workers, these are the heroes who keep the season running smoothly.

A poll of 2,000 adults revealed just how much the public values these efforts, with 89% agreeing Christmas wouldn’t be the same without key workers.

The research, commissioned by GroceryAid, which provides financial, emotional and practical support for grocery workers, also found that nearly six in 10 adults (58%) often forget how many people work behind the scenes playing a crucial role in helping millions of people have an enjoyable December 25.
