A poll has revealed a list of the most annoying ‘office jargon’ that has infiltrated our homes as a result of working from home.

Thousands of office workers were surveyed by connectivity provider TalkTalk, who have seen a 40% increase in data usage year-on-year, to reveal the nation’s top ten list of the most annoying WFH office jargon terms.

The list includes ‘management speak’ favourites such as ‘out the loop’, ‘on my radar’ and ‘touch base’.

The study also shows this jargon is becoming more prevalent outside of paid hours, with fourth fifths (84 per cent) who work with someone else in their homes saying they’ve started hearing the terms in non-work conversations.

Aston spoke to author Caroline Taggart to discuss the research in further detail and also about some of the office jargons.
