10 become 8 in Strictly Come Dancing

Following the elimination of NFL footballer Jason Bell the remaing couples started rehearsals for this past weekends Strictly Come Dancing.

Sadly a couple of days before the live show, the news broke that Olympic boxer Nicola Adams and her dance partner Katya Jones had to withdraw from the series due to Katya testing positive for Covid-19.

So that meant there were 9 couples taking to the floor this past weekend. This week saw radio broadcaster Clara Amfo and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec top the leaderboard with a score of 29 (higest score of the series) for their Charleston.

This week there was a shock name in the dance off as it saw Eastenders star from Southend Maisie Smith and her dance partner Gorka Marquez and The Wanted singer Max George and his dance partner Dianne Buswell. The judges chose to save Maisie meaning Max’s time on Strictly Come Dancing is over.

The remaining 8 couples go again this weekend on a weekend they were supposed to be in Blackpool, but they’re bringing the Blackpool spirit to Elstree Studios instead.
