This past weekend of Strictly Come Dancing saw all 12 couples take to the floor for the second week, knowing that someone would be the 1st person eliminated from the series.

All the scores from the 1st week were carried over to make a combined score. Last week singer HRVY and his dance partner Janette Manrara had the highest score from the judges with 25 for their jive.

However this time round, Eastenders actress Maisie Smith and her dance parter Gorka Marquez racked up the highest score from the judges with 25 for their tango, meaning that Maisie & HRVY (scored 24 from the judges) both had a combined score of 49 to be the joint scorers across the first two weeks.

Sadly one celebrity had to be eliminated. The dance off featured Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and his dance partner Karen Hauer and former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and her dance partner Anton Du Beke. The judges unaminously chose to save Jamie Laing meaning that Jacqui Smith’s time on Strictly Come Dancing is over.

The remaining 11 couples go again this Saturday in a movie themed week where all the music choices are soundtracks from films.
