The battle for the glitterball trophy begins on Strictly Come Dancing

This past weekend saw all fifteen couples take to the floor for the very first time this year to impress the judges.

There were some high scores and low scores, but the highest score of the night went to TV presenter AJ Odudu and her dance Kai Widdrington with a score of 34 and lowest score of the night was a score 17 by Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies and her professional dancer partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

All of the scores from this past weekend will be carried over to this weekend where the first couple will be eliminated.

McFly singer Tom Fletcher and his dance partner Amy Dowden will not be performing this weekend as both of them have tested postive for Covid-19 and will therefore be given a bye into week 3, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.
