UK facing disability employment crisis

Disabled people will face discrimination daily, but it is perhaps most damaging in the workplace. Despite there being one million disabled people in the UK able and willing to work, it seems outdated attitudes on disability are affecting their employment opportunities.

Today new YouGov research commissioned by Virgin Media and the charity Scope – released as they launch the #WorkWithMe Pledge – highlights the workplace is just as stacked against disabled people as it was over a decade ago.

Aston spoke to Jeff Dodds, Managing Director at Virgin Media to discuss these findings and reveal more about their plan for business leaders to take accountability for how they recruit and employ disabled people.
