Winter Olympic legend Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards on busy builders

The name was chosen because workers in the British building trade typically drink many cups of tea during their working day’, says Wikipedia, but new findings suggest builders’ tea is becoming a thing of the past because UK tradespeople just don’t have the time for a break.

In fact, research by ManoManoPro – the new DIY marketplace created exclusively for the trade – shows that 6 in 10 (58%) builders, plumbers, electricians, and others who practice similar trades say that 2022 is shaping up to be their busiest ever year.

Over half (56%) say they’re regularly working longer days to keep up with their workload with the average tradesperson clocking up an extra 5 hours a week outside of normal working hours.
