World Obesity Day

Today, World Obesity Day (4 March), research suggests public attitudes toward obesity treatment are changing as GLP-1 weight-loss medications are entering the mainstream but cannot be the only thing used to help with obesity.

The latest NHS Health Survey for England shows around 30% of adults in England are living with obesity, with nearly two-thirds above a healthy weight*.

The State of Obesity Report, from Numan, shows that most people now reject the idea that using weight-loss medication is “cheating,” and public confidence appears to be increasing.

Aston spoke to Zoe Griffiths, dietitian & vice president of behavioural medicine at Numan.
