Would you pass your GSCE maths exam?

Mock exams are just around the corner, meaning teenagers will be trying to balance presents, turkey and revision over the festive season. Many parents will be sitting down to help – but are they best placed to?

1000 parents were asked to answer an ‘area’ GCSE Maths question – which often appears in papers – and 92% said they had no idea. Of the 8% who attempted it, none of them got it right.

The data comes from Save My Exams, which reveals 87% of parents think the workload on their teenagers is significantly more than when they were studying.
