Carol Vorderman on living through midlife
The current meaning of the acronym M.I.L.F first entered mainstream culture via the early-2000s comedy American Pie, but the term is emotionally divided in opinion.
It amuses some, flatters others, but leaves a significant group feeling objectified or offended, according to JD Williams survey of 2,000 women aged 40-60.
Just 36 percent of midlife women agree it’s a compliment, while 28 percent actively disagree and 31 percent are sitting on the fence, underscoring how subjective and context-dependent the term has become.
Ros spoke to broadcaster Carol Vorderman.
