Chefs bring summer soul of Louisiana to UK

Louisiana’s complex blending of cultures over 300 years produced distinctive regional food traditions which are known worldwide. For New Orleans and South Louisiana, food is regarded as far more than mere sustenance. Food is relished, just as people argue over the right way to make a gumbo, they enjoy talking about food, exchanging recipes, and collecting cookbooks.

If Louisianan food is to your taste, but you’re still stuck in the UK, chefs Jeremy Langlois and Brian Landry are bringing the vibrancy and the best of Louisiana with them as they take the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival by storm, with daily demonstrations.

Whether it’s Gumbo or Crayfish, together they will be sharing their tips and inspiration for bringing the tastes of Louisiana into your kitchen at home.

Ros spoke to chefs Jeremy Langlois and Brian Landry.
