Craig Philips gives DIY tips this Bank Holiday

This May Bank Holiday households across the UK are looking to tool up and make improvements to their home, with the majority (65%) looking to tackle a DIY job over the long weekend.

With doing up the garden (41%), spring cleaning (34%), and redecorating (24%) among the most popular tasks looking to be completed, there is a drive for a real hands-on approach.

It is not always as simple as giving it a go though, with more than two in five (43%) feeling like they don’t know where to begin when it comes to DIY, and two-thirds (67%) suggesting the decision to complete a home project on your own can be daunting.

To help, the figures by LoftZone show a third of people are turning to social media videos for inspiration and ideas for DIY projects, while almost half (47%) of those aged 34 and younger admit they would rather get DIY advice online than from friends and family.

Ros spoke to D.I.Y expert & first ever winner of Big Brother Craig Philips and Dave Raval, CEO of LoftZone.
