Falling in love with exercise
We’ve all made the well-intended pledge of ‘new year, new me’ – but often the thoughts of countless hours in the gym or a run outdoor in the cold means our new year’s resolutions often fade before the Christmas decorations make a return to the attic.
More than a third of UK adults have, or plan to set a resolution to be physically healthier in 2023, despite many not feeling able to achieve this. Research has found that 15% of the nation set this as a resolution every year but have never been able to achieve it.
Data from Benenden Health highlights how a quarter of UK adults don’t know the right exercise for their bodies and fewer than a fifth of people (16%) signal that they love exercising.
