The research, commissioned by Travelzoo – the club for travel enthusiasts, polled adults who’ve travelled alone and found more than a quarter (28 per cent) prefer it over going away with a partner, family, or friends.

Among the other perks of going solo are not feeling responsible for anyone else and being more likely to meet new people as you step out of your comfort zone.
