Listen: avoiding scam calls

According to new research, scammers are continuing to prey on older adults, with 1.6 million Brits aged 65 and over targeted by a mobile phone scam ten or more times.

Over half (55%) of people aged 65+ are concerned about unknown calls and receive on average 295 cold and potentially suspicious calls a year.

The data from Uswitch.com, the comparison and switching service, also discovered for grandparents, this is six times the number of calls they receive from their grandchildren.
