Listen: Christmas is coming but are our gifts?

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday getting closer and just over five weeks to go until Christmas Day, buying gift for friends and family will be well underway for many of us.

On average, we are likely to buy almost half (45%) of our Christmas gifts or decorations online this year. However, supply chain issues and the fallout from Brexit have led us to feel anxious about items or gifts ordered from online marketplaces, with almost half (46%) of us worried they will not arrive on time this Christmas.

Furthermore, 30% do not currently trust that products or gifts ordered from overseas will arrive in time for Christmas at all, according to Shift, the on-demand delivery platform. For 74% of 16-24 year olds and 42% aged over 55, there is even a worry that our online purchases will be intercepted or stolen during delivery.
