Listen for energy saving hacks

Many parents look forward to school holiday to spend some quality family time together – however, for some families, the school holidays can be daunting, especially when household bills climb as we look to keep our kids busy indoors.

With the Easter weekend a washout for many and as we approach the second week of the Easter Break, research from Smart Energy GB has uncovered the best way parents and households across the UK have been attempting to cut back on their energy use in a bid to lower their energy bills. These including the constant task of turning lights off in a room no one’s using, a method that over a quarter of people (29%) believed has saved them the most money since the start of the energy crisis in 2021.

The research also highlighted other energy saving tactics that families thought saved them money on their bills, which include using air fryers instead of the oven (26%) and washing clothes at a lower temperature (25%).
