Listen: how to avoid becoming victims of scams this summer

Just days before Taylor Swift’s first gig in UK and Gareth Southgate’s announcement of the England Euro 2024 squad, fans desperate for last-minute tickets are being warned of online fakes.

The warning comes as new data from Nationwide Building Society reveals 1 in 3 young people have fallen victim to fake tickets or know someone who has.

The top three events most prone to fake tickets are gigs (39%), festivals (34%) and football matches (30%), with the scams most likely to occur on social media.
