Listen: how will we work in the future?

From hybrid and remote working through to more flexible hours, the way we work has changed forever.  However, the revolution sweeping across the workforce is far wider with automation and A.I replacing human jobs, changing the skills needed in the workforce. But what will the future look like?

A new study from Evelyn Partners – in collaboration with the Centre for Future Studies – explores what life will look like in 2040.  Baby Boomers (aged 58-76) already expect to work longer and put retirement on hold by an average of four years, while one in four (25%) say they’ve “unretired” – suggesting many are returning to the workforce to help navigate the cost-of-living crisis.

Ryyan spoke to futurist Dr Frank Shaw and Henrietta Grimston, associate director of financial planning at Evelyn Partners.
