Listen: scouting for toys
Whether it is building something magnificent from lots of Lego pieces or recreating our favourite Star Wars movie scene with figurines, our childhood toys can evoke so many memories.
Some of us have kept and displayed our most loved toys, while others are tucked away in the loft and never see the light of day… but could be worth a fortune.
A new series on Yesterday channel – Scouting For Toys – goes behind the scenes atVectis, one of the world’s biggest toy auctioneers, where each week buyers and sellers from all over the world trade every toy imaginable, from Barbie Dolls to antique tinplate vintage cars.
The series discovers how from a vast and unassuming industrial estate, Vectis’ team of experts value and catalogue a colourful and eclectic range of toys and collectables ahead of their auctions.
